I'm wondering if anybody out there can help.

I live in Eltham and have a terrific view of the London skyline. I've seen all different types of military helicopters like the Puma. Lynx, Gazelle, Merlin, plenty of Chinooks and on one occasion a pair of A-10 Thunderbolt turning over Canery Whalf.

I herd a helicopter on Saturday (28 June 2008) late morning, look at of my bedroom window and saw an Apache very low. I saw the helicopter go down as in landing. would any-one have idea where it landed.

I Live a couple hundred yards from Battersea Heliport so constantly here and see helicopters taking off, landing and circling. I have notice a build up Chinooks in the last few years also. I saw one land and take of today (shook got the camphone out) these things are scary close up. I had a look at the heliports webiste and they point out that on some 'special event days' (F1 racing days in the UK, Royal Ascot etc) there's increased helicopter activity over London. We're in the middle of Wimbledon right now so it may be that some royals use Chinooks to get about.

Well, i live in chelsea (no surpise there then?) I have a fantastic view of the river looking towards the west in sight of the helicopter pad in Battersea.
Chinooks have been around for some years with their ‘shake the chandeliers’ kind of disturbance as they go by. They really are quite ominous things and the sight and noise creates a feeling of anxiety. What I am trying to say is that they are noisy bastards and I don’t like them! They’re just a bit too creepy.
Only this year I have noticed these Apache military helicopters. They are around a lot. The only ‘official reason’ I can see for there being here is ensuring the path is clear and safe for certain ‘dignitaries’ (another word for blood sucking, murdering, lying toe rags). The Apache (so we are told) are the most sophisticated helicopter in the sky – built to encompass large amounts of data and discern enemy threats for group engagements as well as safeguard it’s own safety. A serious intelligence gathering machine.
These black helicopters covertly depositing para’s over the capital is scary stuff but no more scary than the kinds of things our governments are up to anyway – courteousy of Chomsky and Alex Jones.
Does anyone know of any deep underground facilities in London like that in Denver airport ? As part of a Continuance Of Government (COG) like initiave as in the US?

20th june 2008, around 11pm. standing outside my building near liverpool street, a large helecopter (puma i think) flew over head at a very low height making its way towards the east end,i thought this was strange as the helicopter had no undercarrage lights on, i then went onto the roof of my building to see if i can find out wher it went. when i got to the roof i noticed that the helicopter had risen to a high altitude and doubled back towards the west, over st pauls area, i could barly make out the helicopter as it was still in darkness, then from the darkend helicopter i saw at least 8 parachutist jump out.

I just found this site today. A few weeks ago (would have been the 20th of May I think) I was in Shoreditch and saw one of these Chinooks fly slowly west to east, just south of old street, and drop 2 banners with no markings. It then flew straight over the building I was in and made a loop back around and over the spot where it had dropped the banners. It went off north. Ten minutes later it came back from the north and continued again on the identical west to east path straight towards me. This time it dropped 5 parachuters out, just as it got over my building. The parachuters were dressed in black or very dark clothing and released a trail of red smoke behind each of them. They must have landed within 500 yards to the west of Shoreditch High St. I really don't think those guys are looking for ufos as some have suggested. Seems more like paramilitary urban training, to be directed at us civilians in some near future... Anyone else see them or seen them?
