This one slipped under the radar. Recently the Amarok team had success at porting their awesome KDE based media player over to Windows. It’s far from stable yet but this is a very promising first step that will give many current iTunes users something to look forward to rather than sparsely released, poorly written updates.

Have you checked out Songbird? It’s also still very young / unstable, but looks like it has some huge potential once it matures a bit.
Yeh I followed Songbird closely for a bit but the lack of progress got frustrating. Thing is I know Amarok is great and it’s already rock solid on another OS, it’s just a matter of getting the Windows specific components working.
