Well that was a crappy show. What more can be said. Tito vs Ken needed to be stopped as Shamrock wasn’t doing a damn thing to defend himself. Sylvia vs Arlovski was two guys who probablly respect each other too much now and really Arlovski didn’t do enough to win the title.
The one promising thing that did come out of the show was the potential of Liddell vs Silva if Chuck can get through Babalu next. Amazing dream match stuff it is but it brings up more questions than answers about Silva’s status with the UFC. FightOpinion has the best article on it I have seen.

Tito versus Ken?? I really cant beleive the UFC allowed that fight to stop. Three fights previous a guys head and canvas is covered in blood and yet Ken is elbowed four times and the fight is stopped… A title fight stopped with no regaurd for the fighters or the fans. I like Tito but that win was not earned and Shamrock was cheated of a chance to win. I think that UFC lost a lot of credibility. That decision was poor at best and possibly even staged. UFC lost this viewer…
That’s how I felt to start with but if you really look at it Ken wasn’t going anywhere. If the ref had let it go a bit longer it would have just wound up with Shamrock taking more unprotected blows to the head which at his age isn’t exactly a good idea.
I agree it was a shitty fight, a shitty night for UFC all round but that happens when the promoter can’t control the outcome. Lets face it, UFC have put on their fair share of good shows recently, the roll had to stop some time.
I think you’re selling it a little short. Sure, in comparison to some recent shows, it was a bit crappy, but on the whole, i though there were some good fights. I really enjoyed the two Josh’s, and Arlovski v Silvia was a really enjoyable fight, if lacking in variation.
Tito v Ken - i think it needed two more blows before being stopped, but ultimately was the correct decision.
6.5-7/10 for me
Tito vs Ken decison is dividing the MMA community right now it seems :-).
As for the title match, why the hell did Arlovski stop going for knee kicks! Sylvia would have been out by the third round if he’d continued them. And why when his stand up wasn’t working he did not shoot for a take down. Crazyness.
