    Hi John,
I would be very interested to hear how the processor was packaged when it arrives. I was going to order from these guys, but I was put off by their shocking customer reviews on ciao (which incidentally, is the first time i’ve ever found ciao usefull).

Please let me know as I also have been searching high and low for a 4000 x2.

Go for it matey I had an excellent time with them. It was normal CPU OEM packaging in a jiffy, which is all you need for a processor.

hope it goes well… i understand the jump from 939 to AM2 to not really be worth all that extra cash (see latest PCZONE on P97) and seein as i came close to picking up a 4000 939 1mb for ¬£100 from aria’s ‘rush hour’ sale today (not to mention the cost of a new mobo for AM2) i think i personaly am gonna hold off, although the 3800 X2 939 in the same sale was ¬£136 which was very tempting but only has 512k. I am however intrested in the system ur running with this new chip and how well it goes?
im currently running since january, apart from the graphics which I up upgraded from 7800GT 256mb 2 weeks ago…
    AMD 3700 939 1mb
1gb (2×512mb) DDR daul channel OCZ Platinum EL CL 2-3-2-5
512mb PCI-E 7900GT Gainward Bliss golden sample Secial edition
    74gb Western Digital Raptor 10,000rpm 4.5ms
    ABIT KN8 Ultra NF4
    X-FI sound card

It’s running VERY well in terms of performance. Oblivion maxed out :-) I have posted about it recently.

There’s not much point if you have good 939 system but as I had to change sockets anyway I thought I should wait for AM2. Also allowed me to jump on the DDR2 bandwagon.
